For our international touring season, our ensemble proudly presents a double bill of Anton Chekhov’s celebrated one act comedies: The Proposal and The Wedding.
Remaining intensely faithful to the biting humour and late nineteenth-century Russian bourgeois context of Chekhov’s original texts, this double bill exposes the absurd social etiquette, vanity, and material ambition of a society preoccupied with wealth and status. The performance intricately blends physical comedy with live music, ensemble singing, and dynamic dancing for an evening of uproarious laughter and fun.
We are not merely a student and faculty production; we are a disciplined, professional ensemble engineered to execute high stakes, technically complex performances with meticulous attention to detail on the global stage.

Our ensemble is trained under Philipp Sulim, a Russian theatre practitioner trained in Saint Petersburg, whose work is deeply rooted in the Russian theatrical tradition and the Stanislavski system. Our production brings this training into Chekhov’s world through an approach that combines classical Russian context with contemporary theatrical discipline.
The entire production, from poster and design to staging, has been created by our team without AI, reflecting the creative ownership and hands-on training of emerging theatre practitioners.
About Us
We are a professional grade theatre company and a self sufficient production house composed of fourth year Music and Theatre Honours students from Christ University, Bengaluru, performing under the leadership of two accomplished faculty directors. Operating at the highest tier of industry standards, our collective bridges rigorous academic theory with an extensive, years-long track record of commercially successful, ticketed productions across prominent regional and national stages
Our ensemble’s foundation is anchored in the Stanislavski System under the pedagogical guidance of our Department Chair and Russian theatre practitioner, Philipp Sulim. We train by principles of psychological realism, physical truth, and absolute ensemble cohesion. By marrying this deep, dramatic methodology with a rigorous heritage in Western classical music, we build multisensory, technically complex theatrical experiences in which performance, sound, and space exist as a single, unified voice.
What defines our practice is absolute creative autonomy and a commitment to international quality benchmarks. We manage every phase of the production lifecycle entirely in-house:
Visionary Directing & Script Analysis: Reimagining complex classical texts and original plays for contemporary global audiences.
Manual Stagecraft & Technical Design: Hand-fabricating structural set construction, period costumes, intricate props, and complex lighting design.
Fine Art & Visual Identity: Creating high-end, hand-drawn illustrations, branding, and promotional design entirely from scratch.
This deep integration of performance and craft means we don't just conceptualise worlds—we physically build them. Because our performers are also our technical crew, set builders, and stage managers, our company possesses an unparalleled structural agility. Every set piece and technical workflow we engineer is optimised for high spatial adaptability, making us uniquely equipped to handle the high-stakes pressure, strict space limitations, and rapid bump-in/bump-out turnarounds of global festival circuits.
Ultimately, our work is driven by a profound reverence for the theatrical craft. We are a disciplined, cross-functional ensemble that pours everything into bringing technically complex, high-precision art to life on the world stage.

The Repertoire
Our history spans massive, ticketed commercial runs at prominent city venues—such as Jagriti Theatre, Bengaluru and Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai—consistently earning critical and audience acclaim across highly diverse theatrical forms:
Broadway-Licensed Musicals (MTI): Two successful seasonal runs of My Fair Lady, commanding a cross-functional cast and crew of over 50 practitioners.
Opera: A landmark production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury—marking the first fully staged opera in Bengaluru in over seven decades.
National Recognition & Cultural Exchange: Our original adaptation, Shim Cheong, was selected as one of only four productions nationwide for Thespo 25, culminating at the historic Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai. Performed entirely in Korean by a mixed company of Korean and Indian nationals, the project stood as a major cross-continental cultural exchange.
Classical & Contemporary Drama: Comprehensive productions of Sophocles' Antigone, Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, and G.K. Chesterton's The Man Who Was Thursday.
